Don’t let cold or wet weather keep you indoors when you can still get out of the house and have some fun with friends or family. While most putt-putt courses in Cape Town are outside and subject to the whims of the weather, there are two particular spots that can be played and enjoyed no matter the season.

Here’s where you can whack some balls and practise your putting skills indoors in Cape Town:
1. Cave Golf
Cave Golf is an 18-hole putt-putt course inside a man-made cave, complete with tricky angles, uneven surfaces and some interesting obstacles.
Without a doubt, the layout is fun to play and despite being relatively short and compact, it’s well-designed and challenging enough to be enjoyed regardless of whether you’re a pro-putter or first-time beginner.
It’s also right next door to the Scratch Patch, where gemstone lovers will revel in scratching through over 100 different semi-precious stones for brightly coloured treasure.
- Location: 1 Dock Road, V&A Waterfront | Dido Valley Road, Simon’s Town
- Operating Times: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:45pm | Saturday and Sunday 9am to 5pm
2. Glowing Rooms 3D Mini Golf
cold and wet days can often result in cabin fever with the weather keeping everyone inside. So if you’re in need of a Sunday Funday outing, pop into these two fun indoor putt-putt venues for a round of indoor cave golf or take it up a notch with an epic glow-in-the-dark mini golf experience.
There’s nothing as challenging yet fun to get a ball around, over or under one or more obstacles. With the goal to get the ball into the hole by hitting it as few times as possible, the stimulating challenge of an obstacle or three simply adds to the fun.
