Tintswalo Boulders is teaming up with Chefs Warehouse to bring the second in the current series of culinary events to the luxury seaside destination at Boulders Beach (Cape Town).
Coming up on 29 & 30 October 2021, Chefs Warehouse Thali will be the focus of this fun weekend away with fellow food and wine lovers, during which Chef Nate Coe of Thali will share the secrets of the Indian fare that has made Thali famous. Guests will enjoy delicious dinners with wine pairings, as well as Tintswalo’s legendary breakfasts.
The weekend will be all about food and wine, including hands-on activities such as learning the intricacies of sushi-making while enjoying sundowner canapés on Friday evening. Saturday will bring an interesting fish preparation demo by Abalobi followed by a light lunch and wine tasting.
On Saturday afternoon the focus will turn to a masterclass and personal interaction with talented young chef Nate, who will be preparing for that evening’s dinner service. The menu will paired with the superb wines of Whalehaven and Lothian, and will start with Pepper crust venison tataki, sour onion, pickled mushrooms and spiced apple puree; followed by Pan fried line fish, green vegetables & curry sauce. A vegetarian menu is available too, with the sumptuous dinner ending on a sweet and delicate note with Mishti doi, rose berry compote & candied pistachios.
Weekend packages are available from R5500 per person sharing, and include 2 nights’ luxury accommodation with all meals, wine pairing with dinners; food demos and a wine-tasting. Optional extras include relaxing massages or adventurous water activities with Shark Warrior Adventures, such as snorkeling and kayaking.
Bookings are limited to 18 guests and Covid protocols are followed.
