This week, Coco Safar introduced its new world-class collection of couture pâtisserie. Everything is handcrafted with Gotham flair and French savoir-faire, using only the finest pâtisserie techniques.
Coco Safar’s renowned Executive Chef from New York, Rory Macdonald, spent the last couple of weeks in Cape Town sourcing local ingredients and developing the new pâtisserie collection, which also includes a line of delicate pâtisserie cakes and delightful macarons.
The innovative collection is inspired by seven famous New York neighbourhoods including SOHO, 5th Avenue, Flat Iron and Brooklyn, to name a few. With Coco Safar’s anticipated New York launch in a couple of months, it seemed appropriate to bring some New York flair to Cape Town, especially since the New York expansion is such an important next step in the Coco Safar Group’s global expansion journey.
Utilizing only the finest imported ingredients such as Valrhona chocolate and combining it with local seasonal produce from the Cape, like Granny Smith apples from the Elgin Valley and figs from the Durbanville Valley, this masterful new culinary taste discovery is worth the journey.
