Autumn and winter sunsets, with their magnificent shades of red, orange, blue and blushing pink is the new reason to visit the Cape. One of the possible reasons why the sunsets are so spectacular during the colder months of the year is because of the sun being lower in the sky.

Every week locals share their captivating captures of the sun dipping into the sea and the rainbow of unusual colours that accompany it.

As Capetonians we are thankful that we get to witness this occurrence on a daily basis. Visitors are blown away by the beauty of the Cape, and the sunsets add the cherry on the top.

We couldn’t help but bask in the light of the last weeks’ sunsets…
