Cast your perceptions of bingo aside because this might be the wildest game night Cape Town has ever seen.
This week’s Bingo Thursdays is happening tomorrow night at The Electric.
The Electric is known for its fresh juice and nutmilk selection, but when the sun sets it transforms into a striking location for evening events.
Located two minutes from the District Six Museum, the Electric shares a block with many favourite Cape Town restaurants. Harringtons, SurfaRosa, Nude Foods and New York Bagel are among them.

Bingo Thursdays began during the Covid-19 pandemic as an online event. It allowed people to take a few hours of silly refuge from the monotony of lockdown.
Out of lockdown, Bingo Thursdays is hosted at least once a month. Delicious food prepared by the Electric’s kitchen is served at 6 pm and thereafter the fun begins – or continues. The game of bingo is easy and entertaining and winners take home a prize.
Your hosts for the evening are Janette de Villiers and Iain Milne.
Janette owns the Electric and Bingo Thursdays is her brainchild. She is a serial entrepreneur with many projects under her belt. Janette manages her film production company by day and runs the Electric’s events at night.
Iain is Janette’s co-host and the event’s party captain. He is the most entertaining emcee you will ever meet. A professional actor and casting director, Iain is the definition of extraversion. If he isn’t dancing on a table he might be on his way to pull you up there with him.
Like every good event, this occasion has a dress code. The theme is Halloween! Dress spooky, kooky or glamorous. The more outrageous you look the better.
To reserve a spot for tomorrow night you can send your name via email or WhatsApp to the number and address listed below. You will receive your unique bingo card when you arrive at the Electric.
Inhibitions are best left at home, they won’t go with your outfit.
