The GirlCode Hackathon brings together computer programmers and other software development enthusiasts, such as graphic designers, interface designers and project managers, who collaborate on various software projects to craft inventive solutions such as websites, games or mobile apps.
Unlike a competitive event, the hackathon focuses on fostering a learning environment where all participants gain valuable knowledge to further explore the ICT field.
Regardless of your coding experience, the GirlCode Hackathon invites participants of all skill levels. It offers an ideal platform to elevate your technical proficiency, learn from industry experts and gain hands-on experience in a competitive yet friendly environment.
Not only will participants have the opportunity to create impactful projects, but they will also gain access to an abundance of resources, including mentors, workshops and tech talks that help refine ideas and enhance project execution.
With a goal to equip 10 million women and girls with tech skills by the year 2030, GirlCode promotes knowledge sharing, networking and professional advancement with the primary objective of shining a spotlight on female technical talent and cultivating a competitive yet collaborative and supportive culture for talented women in tech.
The hackathon offers exciting prizes for the winners, such as trips to companies like American Express in the US, cash prizes, gadgets and vouchers.
