“Mass Country” by the late Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA, has been granted gold status.

This status awards the late SupaMega an international accolade that a few local musicians currently possess.
The song had over a million streams two weeks after its release on Spotify.
The late rapper’s record label partner, Raphael Benza, head of Vth Season, shared on his social media platform “All love to The Megacy and the King of Music…#SupaMega #MassCountryGoesGold.”
After the murder of the music superstar, the family gave permission for his finished album to be launched days after his burial.
According to IOL, “With the Forbes family’s blessings, AKA’s team continued with aspects of the planned roll-out for the album after his untimely death a few weeks ago”.
