It’s official, British rapper Dave is bringing his The Boy Who Played the Harp Tour to Cape Town! With the release of his 2025 album, The Boy Who Played the Harp, the world tour kicked off in February in Germany, with Cape Town and Pretoria dates recently announced.
Dave will be performing at the Grand Arena, GrandWest, on 6 October 2026, with a date in Pretoria at the SunBet Arena, Time Square, on 3 October.

This is the fourth concert tour from the British rapper, spanning 39 shows across Europe, North America, Australia, and Africa.
The news was announced on Instagram, with Big Concerts stating, ‘History-making rapper, producer, and songwriter @santandave is bringing his critically acclaimed The Boy Who Played the Harp Tour to Pretoria and Cape Town in October, celebrating a record-breaking career that has redefined the global rap landscape‘
The British artist went on to share the news on his socials, including an Instagram story post, and a post on his X account, stating, ‘The first shows on the African leg of my tour are in South Africa‘
Fans can expect a performance full of songs from Dave’s latest album, The Boy Who Played the Harp. The album has received much critical acclaim and commercial success since its release in October 2025, debuting at #1 on the UK Albums Chart. The album also earned three songs in the top ten of the UK Singles Chart, including:
- ‘Raindance’ (#5)
- ‘History’ (#9)
- ‘Chapter 16’ (#10)
The album was also nominated for Album of the Year at the 2026 Brit Awards, with Dave being nominated for British Artist of the Year and winning the award for Best Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act.
