Performers, adorned in eye-catching attire, will parade through Darling Street, the Grand Parade and Adderley Street, and conclude in the historic Bo-Kaap.
Alderman JP Smith, the City’s Mayco member for safety and security, noted the parade’s cultural importance.
‘These events have huge historical and cultural significance. They represent the rich heritage of our beautiful city and mean so much to thousands of Capetonians who have grown up with the culture associated with the Malay Choirs and the Tweede Nuwe Jaar Parade,’ he stated.
