Camps Bay High School recently demonstrated the true spirit of Christmas by donating 103 gift-filled boxes to the Santa Shoebox Project.
The boxes, filled with essential items like stationery, clothing, sweets and toys, are set to bring joy and much-needed support to children in the Santa Shoebox network.
The thoughtfully filled shoeboxes will be gifted to those who may experience limited joy during the festive season.

The Santa Shoebox Project, born in Cape Town in 2006 with a modest beginning of 180 shoeboxes, has seen remarkable growth over 17 years. The project’s reach has expanded significantly, with a cumulative total of 1 152 587 Santa Shoeboxes donated to date.
Each year, these shoeboxes are shared across over 1 000 recipient facilities, and distributed through a network of more than 60 satellites throughout South Africa and Namibia.
As per the People’s Post, Kirsten Mobsby, the head of service at Camps Bay High School, highlighted the importance of the initiative.
She emphasised that the school’s participation is a testament to the power of collective action in fostering positive change and nurturing a culture of giving.
‘It’s heartening to see our school community come together each year to make a difference in the lives of these children. The 103 boxes we’ve added this year reflect the compassion and generosity that define Camps Bay High School,’ she said.
As the holiday season approaches, Mobsby noted that the school continues to be an inspiring example of community impact.
She remarked that the 103 Santa Shoeboxes symbolise more than just gifts; they are ‘symbols of compassion, kindness and the true spirit of Christmas that Camps Bay High School embodies.’
