The Herberg Children’s Home in Robertson is calling on everyone who is willing to donate essential items to the children in its care.

The home looks after 122 boys and girls who are deemed vulnerable by the Children’s Court. The reasons for the children’s admission vary, from being orphaned, neglected, abandoned or abused. By offering a 24-hour, all-encompassing residential care and developmental programme with the help of well-trained personnel and committed volunteers, Herberg aims to help these children reach their full potential.
The items in need include:
- Clothing and shoes (for all seasons)
- Nightwear (for all seasons)
- Underwear
- Socks
- Swimwear
- Toiletries
- Stationary
- School and sportswear for winter and summer
- School and sports shoes
- Hair accessories
- Toys
- Bedding (duvet sets, pillows, inners)
- Towels
- Curtains
- Cutlery and crockery
- Pots and pans
