The programme includes a diverse range of authors, such as Andrew Brown (author of The Bitterness of Olives), Anoeschka von Meck (Twa die Tydloper), Justice Malala (The Plot to Save South Africa), Karen Jennings (long-listed for the 2021 Booker Prize for Crooked Seeds), Shubnum Khan (The Lost Love of Akbar Manzil) and Zibu Sithole (The Thing with Zola).
