While in Cape Town, images of Anderson at Rands in Khayelitsha had social media buzzing with amusing questions and rumours over why he was spending so much time in South Africa and when (if ever) he would be leaving.
An article about his visit to Rand and the subsequent speculation on social media, was posted by Bona, much to Anderson and Kimmel’s amusement.
Claims on social media included that he had ‘fallen in love with an African queen’ and had ‘lost all his money and couldn’t leave’.
Laughing these off, Anderson said that a major reason for his lengthy stay was that the Mother City and her people had found a special place in his heart.
‘I love the people of Cape Town. I had a great time and really am looking forward to getting back soon,’ he told Kimmel.
