Following a report of animal cruelty, the Cape of Good Hope SPCA is conducting an investigation and is urging the public to assist with any information.
The SPCA received a complaint on Tuesday, 20 June, involving a Facebook post in which a cat is being held tightly or possibly strangled by the neck and threatened with a knife.

The image in question was posted by Jayden Faans on Facebook and the SPCA is seeking his whereabouts for questioning.
In his Facebook profile, Faans claims to be a Facebook comedian.
The image indicates possible contraventions of the Animals Protection Act 71 of 1962.
‘If you know the man in this picture and you are able to provide us with any information on his whereabouts, home address, work address or telephone number, please call us on 021 700 4158/9 or 083 326 1604,’ said the SPCA in a Facebook post.
SPCA added that reports can be made anonymously and assured that the names of informants will never be revealed.
Reports can also be submitted online.
