A taxi accident on Prince George Drive has been reported, and the Western Cape SAPS Provincial Accident Response Unit and Fire and Rescue departments are busy processing the scene.

Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security Alderman JP Smith has confirmed that 12 passengers are injured and one woman died after succumbing to injuries on the scene.
An eyewitness reported that the driver was speeding and lost control of the taxi when it overturned.
‘With thirteen occupants, twelve were injured and sadly, one female succumbed to her injuries on scene,’ said Smith.
Prince George Drive Northbound has been closed with a detour to be expected between Klip and Hyde Road while Metro Police and Traffic Services and Fire and Rescue attend to the accident scene.
