The latest dam levels have just been released by the City of Cape Town, this is how we’re faring this week.

Levels stabilised at 38.5% – no change from last previous week. Daily consumption of water remains at a rate of 585 million liters per day. Last week’s report showed a minor increase of 1.1% across the board.

Light rainfall has been forecast for both Tuesday and Saturday, with thunderstorms predicted on the afternoon of the former.  Over 30mm of rain was recorded in some parts of the city last week, while Theewaterskloof received a dismal amount.

Residents are still strongly advised to adhere to level 5 water restrictions which are in place.
