Cape Town International Airport is running low on jet fuel due to bad weather delaying the shipment vessel. Measures were put in place to manage the stock currently available on 26 September.

TheAirports Company SA (ACSA) reduced fuel uplift from Cape Town and advised airlines to reduce the number of passengers to avoid being stock-out in the interim.
According to the Sunday Times, “ACSA said the airport had received a report from fuel suppliers about further delays in the delivery of jet fuel.” The report was received on 30 September.
At the moment travellers are advised to keep in touch with the airlines and monitor any changes, however, no flight delays have impacted flight schedules as yet.
