The Traffic Service awarded 66 staff members with long-service certificates.
‘I would like to thank all staff who received these awards for their commitment, dedication and perseverance but also leading by example to new staff members coming through the ranks, as we expand our Safety and Security Directorate, in service to the residents of Cape Town,’ said Mayco Member for Safety and Security JP Smith.
‘Most of these staff members often face dangerous situations to protect and serve, and it’s important to pause and acknowledge their contributions. These long service awards recognise far more than just years on the job – it speaks to the depth and experience that we are fortunate to have within the City of Cape Town … experience that is critical as we work towards the future and increasing safety in our city.’
