The family of a missing 11-year-old from Knysna are pleading with the public to come forward with any information they may have on her disappearance. Oyisa Mgqwanci has been missing since October 5, and disappeared on her way to the shop located mere metres from her Joodse Kamp settlement home.

It has now been more than two weeks since her disappearance, and there is still no sign of her. According to reports, extensive searches have been conducted by residents, neighbouring communities and various rescue groups in conjunction with police.

She was last seen wearing a white shirt and a pair of blue jeans.

Anyone with information on Oyisa’s whereabouts is urged to call the investigating officer, Sergeant Ludwe Dlambulo, on 082 335 1200 or 044 302 6677.

Alternatively, Crime Stop may also be contacted anonymously at 08600 10111 or SMS Crime Line, 32211.

Meanwhile, missing 14-year-old Lucy Haggis was found alive and safe. According to the Pink Ladies organisation, Haggis absconded and social workers are now investigating her case.

Haggis was found on October 17, days after she first disappeared.
