In a media statement, the airport officials highlighted that this was caused by refuelling challenges due to a breakdown in the main fuel valve.

The situation resulted in delayed flights and a rapid reduction in the processing time for delayed flights.
Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) insists that it’s not a fuel shortage as some have been saying but rather due to a technical problem.
Travellers are advised to check schedules ahead of time to avoid disappointments.
