Capetonians are urged to collect free firewood at the Rhodes Memorial site, as part of the rehabilitation process until the site is cleaned up to control access.
According to the Table Mountain National Park (TMNP), visitors can collect the firewood through a permit system between Mondays and Fridays.
A permit can be obtained from the Kloofnek Office from 08:30 am 3:30 pm. For more information please contact 021 422 1601 or email: [email protected] to make necessary arrangements.
“Please note the Park will only allow 100 people per day and we urge public members to make necessary arrangements on time to avoid traffic congestion in the area and to allow the process to move quickly,” TMNP said.
