The two boys from Lambert’s Bay in the Western Cape who were reported missing at the beginning of this month have been found in Grootbrak in the Southern Cape yesterday, 17 August 2023 and reunited with their loved ones.
Thanks to a member of the public who alerted SAPS to the whereabouts of the boys and further investigation and liaison between Lamberts Bay and Grootbrak Saps resulted in their safe return.

Trevor Andrews (13) and McNeil Fortuin(13) disappeared within just one day of each other. Trevor was last seen on 3 August and McNeil on 4 August.
The community of Lambert’s Bay were gripped with fear and panic for almost two weeks as rumours spread that kidnappers were targeting the area.
As reported by IOL, Trevor’s mother, Kathlin, said she last saw her son on 3 August when he had mentioned he was going to help someone in cleaning their house.
