According to Alderman JP Smith, Cape Town’s Mayco member for safety and security, officers noticed two vehicles parked along the side of the road in the Blueberry Hill, Forest Village area.
After stopping and questioning a group of five men sitting in one of the vehicles, they spotted a rope and knife inside the vehicle they were sitting in.
Upon further investigation, the officers discovered that one of the men was a kidnapping victim of the other four. ‘A case regarding his kidnapping was opened by his brother prior to the officers finding him with his captors,’ says Smith.
The four suspects were arrested, and the case will be further investigated by the South African Police Service.
