There are breakdowns currently affecting 16,056MW of generating capacity, while 2,407MW of generating capacity is out of service for scheduled maintenance.
In the last 24 hours, one generating unit each at Kriel and Majuba power stations has been restored and brought back into service.
During the same timeframe, breakdowns have resulted in the removal of one generation unit each at Duvha, Hendrina, Kendal, Lethabo, and Matla power stations from operation.
The ongoing delays in restoring generating units at Arnot, Camden and Hendrina power stations are contributing to the existing capacity limitations.
