Update:
New information regarding the armed robbery at Rosmead Spar on Monday morning, 05 June, has come to light. A source, who was at the shop during the incident, told Cape {town} Etc that the armed men walked into the establishment at approximately 7am.
Reportedly, the unmasked suspects asked employees to call the manager, who was upstairs at the time. At their instructions, the manager handed over the money, which had been accrued over the weekend and was still in store.
According to the source, the same men were seen in the store as customers on the Friday prior to the robbery.
There was a robbery at the SuperSpar in Rosmead Avenue, Kenilworth, this morning. As confirmed by a Spar employee, suspects armed with automatics invaded the establishment.
A response from the South African Police Service (SAPS) is still pending.
