According to reports the brothers Zia, 15, Alaan, 13, Zayyad, 11, and Zidan, seven, are the sons of Nazim Moti, chief executive of Auto Moti, a car dealership in Polokwane.
Police officers assigned to the kidnapping case of the Moti brothers are also still trying to piece information together. The Jamiatul Ulama South Africa (JUSA) recently said in a statement that they are deeply concerned about the welfare of the four boys from Polokwane, and describes the abduction as a cowardly act to endanger the lives of young children.
“We commend individuals and communities that have shown solidarity through their calls for the safe return of the boys and their support for the Muslim community of Polokwane in general, and the boys’ family, in particular.
“Furthermore, we call upon all members of the public, across the country, to continue assisting law enforcement authorities so that the boys can be found and get reunited with their family safely,” JUSA said.
Meanwhile, members of the Muslim community in Cape Town held a prayer for the brothers on Thursday, November 4 in District Six.
