A high-speed chase ensued and the accused were apprehended. The case was assigned to Warrant Officer Jerome Kleinbooi of the Anti-Gang Unit to lead the investigation into the murder.
‘He gathered all the evidence and started his investigation and during court proceedings he proved beyond reasonable doubt that the accused committed the murder,’ said police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg. ‘They were found guilty on 25 October.’
‘The sentences imposed will run concurrently.’
‘These sentences are deemed a deterrent to those who find themselves on the wrong side of the law in this Province.’
