Two suspects were arrested in Harare by members of Operation Restore (Shanela) on Saturday, 27 April for dealing in dagga, according to a media statement released by the South African Police Service (SAPS).
A search and seizure operation was conducted by Operation Restore (Shanela) members, after receiving information regarding drugs at two separate premises in the Harare area.

Members immediately responded to the information in the DB58 Ncumo Informal Settlement, where they searched the premises.
39 sachets of dagga, one big parcel of dagga and a scale were confiscated, and a 37-year-old male was arrested on a charge of dealing in dagga. The contraband evidence was soon handed in at Harare SAPS as exhibits.
At 7:45pm, members arrested a 48-year-old female at her premises in Fudumel Street, after a search found three plastic bags of dagga. She was arrested on a charge of dealing in dagga, and the dagga was confiscated.
Both suspects are expected to appear at the Khayelitsha Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 29 April 2024 on the mentioned charges.
