The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued an Orange level 5 weather warning for wind over most of the Northern and Western Cape for today, 19 June 2023.

A passing cold front is expected to bring gale-force westerly to north-westerly winds reaching speeds of up to 80kph with gusts of 100kph, which will affect the coastal towns along the south-western and south coasts, including the City of Cape Town.
