Petrol and diesel are set to increase for a third consecutive month. The latest data from the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy released on Thursday shows the price of petrol will increase by approximately 65 and 67 cents a litre, with diesel set to increase by three cents.
The price of illuminating paraffin and LP gas are predicted to decrease in the coming months
The price of fuel is usually adjusted on the first Wednesday of each month based on the price of oil and the rand-dollar exchange rate. The higher oil prices and the rand to the dollar conversion are the main contributing factors to the cost of fuel.
The price increases will come into effect from next Wednesday.
