Bonnie and Clyde have always seemed to capture the imagination of our society, but when Clyde accidentally shoots himself and Bonnie gets him caught when breaking curfew, it’s not exactly the perfect recipe for movie magic we’re looking for.
In an attempt to evade police, a suspect accidentally shot himself when confronted by the officers in Hanover Park after an alleged robbery. However, he was later apprehended after his girlfriend broke the lockdown curfew.
The very same day the suspect managed to dodge the police was the same day he got caught after officers stopped a vehicle outside curfew, where the woman revealed that her boyfriend had been shot, reports IOL. He was then arrested for attempted murder at the Heideveld Emergency Centre.
A sad day for a suspect attempting to evade the law, but another notch on the belt for police who have been issuing fines over the last few days – 35 000 in total.
However, this isn’t the only win for police. Earlier this week, a prisoner escaped from the Goodwood Correctional facility, only to be rearrested in the Bonteheuwel area where his mother lives.
