Amber Fillary, South Africa’s ice swimming record holder, has once again made her name known by breaking not one but three Guinness World Records in Norway over the weekend.
Fillary, already a two-time Guinness World Record holder from 2020 and 2022, astonished spectators with her remarkable feats.
On Saturday, she surpassed her own 2022 record by swimming a staggering 100 metres under the ice in a single breath, dressed in only a costume.
Not content with one triumph, Fillary returned to the icy depths on Sunday, besting her own record yet again by swimming 105 metres under similar conditions. However, her record-breaking spree didn’t end there.

Fillary set a new benchmark by swimming an astonishing 110 metres under the ice in a single breath, this time utilising a monofin.
Fillary’s achievements have not only solidified her status as a sports icon but have also served as a beacon of hope and inspiration.
In her own words, she expressed her elation: ‘I am beyond ecstatic to have broken not one, but three Guinness World Records in the span of just two days.’
Fillary expressed her gratitude to her sponsor, Carrick Wealth, whose belief in her propelled her towards success. Her dedication extends beyond personal triumphs, as she aims to raise awareness about mental health issues and inspire others to overcome their challenges.
‘I want to show that no matter how difficult things may seem, with determination and support, anything is possible,’ Fillary remarked.
