Since the outbreak of a wildfire that began on the mountain slopes above Castle Rock near Simon’s Town, the Cape of Good Hope’s inspectors have scoured the fire-stricken areas, seeking animals that have suffered burns and require immediate aid.

A mobile clinic is stationed at the fire station, prepared for rapid intervention for any animal in urgent need, and any pet owners worried about their animals’ well-being are encouraged to reach out.
The inspectors extended heartfelt thanks to the fire and rescue teams for their work in safeguarding the rescuers and the community.
