In light of the unprecedented Level 9 weather warning issued for the Western Cape, Table Mountain National Park has taken decisive action to ensure public safety.
Park management has announced the closure of all hiking trails, mountain biking routes and horse riding trails due to the adverse weather conditions expected.

Additionally, visitors are advised that no fires may be made, even in designated braai areas within the park. These measures are essential to mitigate risks associated with the forecasted heavy rainfall and very strong winds.
Table Mountain National Park will reassess the weather conditions tomorrow morning to determine the feasibility of reopening facilities and outdoor activities.
The safety and well-being of park visitors and staff remain the top priority during this period of extreme weather.
