18-year-old Cevyin Kemp, who has been accused of killing his family members Elmoine Kemp, 46, her 13-year-old son, and her sister Shireen Isaacs, 54, abandoned his bail application today 19 December 2022.

The multiple murders took place on Wednesday, 14 December 2022 in Marlin Street, Bishop Lavis, Cape Town.
According to National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson, Eric Ntabazalila, Kemp appeared at Bishop Lavis Magistrate’s Court and his case has been adjourned to 16 March 2023, pending more investigations.
Colonel André Traut, a Western Cape police spokesperson, confirmed that the suspect is related to the three victims.
“The motive for the attack on the two females aged 46 and 54 and a 13-year-old boy in Marlin Street is yet to be determined,” said Traut.
