The City of Cape Town says residents in Gardens and Sea Point can expect temporary roadworks in the area as City’s Road Infrastructure Management Department commences with the resurfacing of various roads from Monday, 10 July.
Depending on weather conditions, roadworks are expected to be completed over the next month.

The roadworks will occur from Monday to Friday, between 8am and 4:30pm, according to City of Cape Town.
The following roads will be resurfaced:
Gardens:
- Tuin Plein Street, between Vrede Street and Hope Street.
- Wandel Street, between Vrede Street and Hope Street.
- Vrede Street between Hope Street and St Johns Street.
Sea Point:
- Regent Road
- Queens Road Circle
Roadwork done in Sea Point may require evening work where necessary.

According to City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas, temporary deviations will be in place to accommodate some of these roadworks.
Quintas also urged road users to ‘please remain patient with our teams as they try to complete the job as efficiently as possible’.
Residents and commuters to Gardens and Sea Point are advised to be cautious and to slow down when approaching the abovementioned areas where work is underway.
