A Cape Town-based TikTok user, Matty, uploaded a video in which he jumps off the rocks in Llandudno, only to be caught for a scary few minutes in the currents.
In the video, you can hear someone laughing and cheering Matty on as he tries to escape the rough waves. The video has gone viral.

One user commented ‘Totally respect your swimming skills, but bro don’t do that at Lnandudno.,’ with another joking, ‘Please don’t do that again. I can’t swim but now I’m exhausted bcos I’ve been swimming with u trying to pull u out whilst watching u on my phone😂.’
Matty has released a second video explaining what happened, both in the video and behind the scenes. Luckily, he came out of the incident physically unharmed.
