South Africa is one of the countries in the running to win the International Committee of Tourism Festivals (CIFFT) ‘People’s Choice Award’.

The award is an online voting competition that seeks to promote the discovery of new tourism destinations throughout the world while highlighting the great potential of travel videos to create meaningful connections with the audience.

The ‘People’s Choice Award’ and Grand Prix Circuit are considered the biggest competition in the travel video marketing industry, according to Alexander V. Kammel, the Director of CIFFT.

Travel industry practitioners and the public are invited to vote for what they consider to be the ‘World’s Best Tourism Video’, ahead of the Grand Prix CIFFT Circuit.

The award winners will be announced at the third edition of the Grand Prix, which is an assembling of 17 of the world’s most prestigious tourism film festivals.

The ‘People’s Choice’, the video that receives the most votes, will be declared the ‘World’s Best Tourism Film’. The winner will be announced on October 26 on the CIFFT website and social media channels.

South Africa has a single entry in the competition and will be one of 31 films from 16 countries competing for the award.
