African National Congress (ANC) president Cyril Ramaphosa, visited several communities in Cape Town on Thursday, October 21, in a bid to secure votes for the ruling party on November 1.
Ramaphosa started off his journey in the historic town of Mamre, near Atlantis where he was greeted by a large group of supporters and residents. Ramaphosa then went door to door to engage with some residents, urging them to make their mark next to the ANC in up and coming local elections.

During his door to door campaigning Ramaphosa indicated to residents that ANC would be the agent of change as it is looking to turn things around in the Western Cape. Ramaphosa was quoted by News 24 saying, “Change is possible. The change agent is the ANC. We can change around the fortunes. This is what we are focused on.”

However, Ramaphosa wasn’t the only political heavyweight to visit the Cape on Thursday, as the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Julius Malema also visited the community of Khayamnandi in Stellenbosch.
