A video of a South African woman delivering an emotional prayer in isiXhosa has once again indicated that South Africa is a rainbow nation, where everyone from any background can stand together, just like we did when the Springboks won the Rugby World Cup in 2019.
In the video, Mariska Lee Bezuidenhout from Queenstown in the Eastern Cape asks “God to help and bless South Africa,” following the violent and destructive behaviour which has wreaked havoc in parts of KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.
According to Bezuidenhout, she grew up on a farm and has been speaking isiXhosa for a long time now, SA People reports.
Another video that had South Africans in tears is that of the baby being thrown from a burning building in Durban following looting action in the area. However, the baby was safely caught and reunited with her mother.
