Per the Ward 71 Facebook page, residents are advised to be patient as the supply may still be gritty and cloudy. Ward councillor Carolynne Franklin suggests that residents open outside taps for a minute or two to clear their private lines.

‘Please also log [in] with the city if your water is still not available Monday morning – because then there is an alternate issue that needs addressing.
‘Thank you for your patience whilst city and contractor teams worked tirelessly to attend to the supply challenges over the last 6 days.’
Franklin will attend a high-level meeting alongside Councillor Emile Langenhoven in February to debrief and discuss water supply line issues with City officials from the Water and Sanitation Directorate.
The City advises that water may still appear discoloured but reassures residents that this is normal and safe to drink.
