Their eldest son, who heard a loud buzzing noise in the backyard, went to investigate and discovered their dog being attacked by a cloud of thousands of angry bees who went ‘crazy.’
He wrapped himself in a blanket and dashed outside to save Bruno, who was rushed to the Animal Welfare Society of SA’s hospital, where the full scope of the ferocious attack became clear.
Bruno was severely traumatised and covered in bee stings as a result of the freak attack.
There were stings in his ears, on the tender underside of his stomach, inside his mouth, down his throat, and all over his tongue.

We had not anticipated this curve ball and would be grateful to hear from bee experts willing to donate their time and expertise to help save these precious little creatures.
