The 2023 Franschhoek Festival of Lights kicks off today, continuing until 21 December 2023.
This annual event brings a dazzling display of lights and holiday spirit to the Franschhoek Valley, all in support of local charities.
Celebrating the spirit of the holiday season, the festival offers an evening filled with festive music, enchanting light displays and the natural beauty of the surrounding vineyards.

One of the festival’s key attractions is the double-decker tram journey, offering departures from the Franschhoek Terminal at 8:20pm and 9pm on selected nights.
This 30-minute ride allows passengers to cosy up and enjoy the scenery of an illuminated wonderland.
The Festival of Lights is as much a community initiative as it is a celebration.
