27 years ago the Two Oceans Aquarium opened its doors for the first time. Every birthday the Aquarium grows in value, treating all ocean lovers to interactive experiences and contributing to marine life conservation and rehabilitation.

On 13 November 1995, two brothers opened the Two Oceans Aquarium to the public. Thousands of Capetonians flocked to see the marine life that the new Aquarium had to offer.

27 years later the Aquarium remains a well-established attraction site for tourists and locals, but it has also developed into a conservation and education facility.
The Aquarium is recognised globally as a place of dreams for people that are passionate about the research, conservation and rehabilitation of sea life.
The Aquarium is a pillar of Cape Town tourism and will continue to educate and inspire through its incredible exhibits, public talks, interactive programmes and consistent social media networks.
