Are you a creative living in Cape Town? If so, The Playrooom Company is the community for you.
Founded by Capetonian Anna Olivier, a professional dancer, actress and singer, this mission and vision-led company aims to empower creatives by connecting them with a platform to meet their needs, create work opportunities and promote community and collaboration.
At the heart of The Playrooom Company is a desire to serve creatives in every way possible. Whether you’re onstage, backstage, or in production, they want to empower you with a holistic offering that supports your personal and professional needs, as well as grows the creative industries around the world.
To achieve this, The Playrooom Company is building an app that encourages community, facilitates collaboration and improves access to work opportunities.
But they’re not doing it alone. They want to understand creatives’ needs and wants so they can build the app ‘for you and with you.’ Collaboration, after all, is the fastest way for the industry to grow.

‘When two or more creatives meet, magic happens,’ says Anna.
And The Playrooom Company wants to bring different perspectives together to create things that matter. Thriving creative spaces are central to the growth of the industry as they’re a home of cultural progress, protest and discourse, and give a place to celebrate life.
To make this happen, The Playrooom Company needs your help. They want you to follow them, and give them feedback and input as they create the app.
They want to connect creatives across various fields and disciplines, and build a community that supports each other. So, if you’re a creative, you can sign up to their mailing list and be kept in the loop.
Or, better yet, comment on their Instagram or DM them and tell them your needs as a creative.
‘I’m hoping to create a space where all the ideas you do have, you take a risk and you do it,’ says Anna.
And with The Playrooom Company, you can be a part of the creative community that lives on the digital PlayRooom and, more importantly, the physical Playrooom.
Thriving creative spaces are critical for the creative community, and The Playrooom Company is here to serve you.
