Residents are advised of road closures for the Spar Women’s Challenge in Green Point on Sunday, 24 March.
Known for great fun and entertainment, this year’s Spar Women’s Challenge will be celebrated with the help of Early B. Participants can also look forward to prizes and surprises as well as the chance to win a car.

Residents are advised that the following roads will be closed for the event:
- Vlei Road – Full closure: 5;30am to 11am
Helen Suzman Avenue and Fritz Sonnenberg Roads, access permitted for permit holders and accredited vehicles into P4 Parking - Fritz Sonnenberg Road – Full closure: 5:30am to 11am
Beach Road to Boom Gate at McDonalds - Fritz Sonnenberg Road: 5:30am to 9:30am
Boom Gate at McDonalds to Granger Bay Boulevard, vehicles permitted into and out of McDonalds only - Granger Bay Boulevard – Eastbound dual (left) lane closure: 5:30am to 9:45am
Fritz Sonnenberg Road to Beach Road - Beach Road – Northbound single (left) lane closure: 5:30am to 9:45am
Beach Road to Fritz Sonnenberg Road, sea side lane open for the Water Club and Radisson Blu right turn only using Haul Road (city bound direction) - Beach Road – Southbound left lane closure: 5:30am to 10am
Mouille Point Lighthouse (Granger Bay CPUT Campus) to Fritz Sonnenberg, athletes remain in the ‘sea side or left’ lanes - Helen Suzman Avenue – Southbound dual lanes closure: 5:30am to 9:30am
Beach Road to Vlei Road - Beach Road – Southbound dual lane closure (sea side city bound): 5:30am to 9:30am
Beach Road (from Queens Road circle to Beach Road Sea Point)

The MyCiTi Bus service announced that these road closures will affect Route 104 from the start of service until 9:45am.
Stops skipped in the direction toward Waterfront and Sea Point:

- Three Anchor Bay
Stops skipped in the direction toward Waterfront only:
- Rocklands
- Promenade
- London
- Graaff’s Pool
- Boat Bay
- Sea Point Pool
- Cassel
Alternate stops:
- Queens Beach station
- Waterfront station
In addition, the Sparrebos, Newlands and Montezuma stops on Route 236 in Atlantis will be unavailable until Sunday, 31 March due to planned road construction.
The Deerlodge stop on Route 246 in Atlantis will be unavailable until Wednesday, 21 March due to planned road construction.
