The Cape Winelands District Municipality confirmed that the Huguenot Tunnel has been reopened.
No further information is available at this time.
The Huguenot Tunnel has been closed in both directions due to the ongoing fire at Du Toitskloof.

According to the Cape Winelands District Municipality (CWDM), teams are currently implementing a backburn, which is a strategic firefighting technique aimed at combatting the final active line of this fire.

In the interim, teams are actively monitoring and fighting fires at Rawsonville, Matroosberg, and De Vierde Liefde fire fronts.
