Imagine sitting on a private yacht, taking in the beauty of the Langebaan Lagoon while sipping bespoke gin cocktails. This heavenly experience is what the Ultimate Gin Charter offers.

The tour takes you along the edge of the West Coast National Park, cruising on a Sail Due South yacht through the historic Saldahna Bay area, with a hostess and skipper making sure you are well taken care of.

On-board you are treated to gin tastings, cocktail shaking and paired snack platters.

The charter is an opportunity to enjoy all that West Coast Distillers has to offer – premium gins and a range of bitters, all hand crafted and locally made, including the award winning Caspyn West Coast Dry Gin and the Belladonna Night Shade Gin, infused with the Nastergal Berry (Black Night Shade), resulting in complex but well balanced berry-tart subtlety. Top these off with a range of award-winning Mutiny Bitters that include three variants: Aromatic, Orange, and the world’s first Rooibos bitters. Mutiny Bitters are botanically infused, gravity strained, pressed, mixed, bottled and labelled all by hand.

Should you wish to explore any of the beaches along the way, there is a private power boat which will transport you to the shore.

Each yacht takes six passengers, with three yachts available for simultaneous charters.  The 5-hour on-water experience costs R9 000 for one yacht, R16 000 for two and R23 000 for all three yachts. All tastings, gin and tonics included.
