Etienne Love, her father, shared photos of the special day with Cape {town} Etc:

Guillain-Barré syndrome is a rare autoimmune disorder in which the body’s immune system attacks the nerves. An acute bacterial or viral infection may cause the condition.

With Guillain-Barré syndrome, the immune response damages peripheral nerves (brain and spinal cords) to the limbs and organs. Symptoms start as weakness and tingling in the feet and legs that spread to the upper body, and paralysis can occur.

Aeezhia’s grandmother frequently visits the hospital to assist Aeezhia’s mother in communicating with the medical staff. She uses a hearing aid and sometimes has difficulty hearing instructions or information. Communication is easier when Granny is present.
