The body of a 35-year-old man was found on the backseat of a white 4×4 bakkie in Heerengracht Street in the Cape Town CBD on Monday, 31 January.
According to police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg, officers attached to the Cape Town Central police station were deployed to the crime scene around 3:30pm where the man was found and declared dead on the scene by medical personnel.
Twigg indicated that the victim was found with a single gunshot wound, however, it is still unclear if he was the driver of the vehicle. No arrests have been made and police are investigating a murder case.
